Terms of Service
Last updated: April 5, 2023

By commissioning me, you are agreeing to the following terms of service, so please read them through before sending payment. If anything is unclear to you, please ask!

I aim to always be friendly, respectful, and professional with my commissioners. I prioritize commissions over all other types of artwork I do (personal artwork, trades, gifts, etc). Commissions are my highest quality standard of work; I always put just as much, if not more, effort into commissioned work as any other type of artwork I do.

What I Will and Won't Draw: Taking a look at my gallery will give you a good idea of what I have experience with drawing. I am comfortable drawing most animal species, various props, natural settings, and blood/fights/some gore. I am less comfortable drawing cityscapes and machinery but I might attempt to draw them if asked (it might cost extra, and I might decline to draw them - it depends on how ambitious I feel at the time). I will not draw humans, anthros, or NSFW. I will only draw in my own style - I will not imitate other styles such as Ginga, Disney, another artist, etc. I will not draw characters that appear to me to include cultural appropriation or racial stereotypes, including feathers behind the ear of a character (you can read why here). I retain the right to refuse any commission or to terminate any commission at any time (for instance, if the transaction is making me uncomfortable) - see the refunds section at the bottom of this list for more details.

Payment: I typically require payment in full before starting the commission, but if you would like to pay in installments, reach out to me and we can work something out. If paying in installments, I will only begin a commission once I receive at least half of the payment, and will only complete/deliver the commission once I receive the full payment. I only accept payment through PayPal invoices.

Progress Shots: Most of my commission types (except for YCHs) include progress shots at each stage of the commission. Most commissions include 3 progress shots, as detailed below. YCH commissions do not include progress shots. Side-View Icons do not include a linework progress shot. If you want more progress shots at any time, just ask and I will be happy to give you more! If you do not want progress shots (for instance, if you want your commission to be a surprise), you will not have the opportunity to ask for revisions.

Revisions: You may ask for revisions at each progress stage I show you. Some revisions are free, and some cost extra. Here is a summary of the usual stages and what is free/what costs extra.
  1. The first progress stage is a rough sketch. The goal in this stage is to determine a pose and expression you are happy with. Free changes you may ask for include as many changes as you'd like to the rough sketch, including up to one completely new rough sketch with a different pose/expression. Changes that cost extra include if you want more than 2 rough sketches to choose from.
  2. The second stage is the linework. You can have up to 3 small changes for free - small changes could include moving the eye a little to the left, making the head tuft a little bigger, making the tail a little longer, etc - basically anything that does not change the pose/expression you approved in the first stage. Changes that cost extra include if you want more than 3 small changes, or if you want large changes such as changing the expression, tripling the character's tail size, etc - basically anything that could have been commented on in the rough sketch stage.
  3. The final progress stage will be the draft of the finished piece. You can have up to 3 small changes for free - small changes could include tweaks to the markings, changing the shade of any of the markings, changing the color of a prop, etc. Changes that cost extra include if you want more than 3 changes, asking me to change the character's markings because you changed their design, asking me to change the background from a night sky to a rainstorm, or anything that changes the pose/expression/linework you approved in previous stages.

I strive to create work that my customers will be happy with!
Please do not hesitate to ask for changes, but ask for changes at the appropriate stages. For instance, if you are unhappy with the expression, ask me to rework it at the rough sketch stage rather than at the linework stage. Asking for changes from a previous stage will cost extra depending on how much work it requires. If you purchase a commission as a gift for someone else, if that person wants revisions to the commission after it is completed, those will cost extra.

Deliverables: I will send you the full-sized PNG file of your commission. I do not share the PSD file. I can include a version with a transparent background for free if requested. Typically, alternate versions of commissions cost extra (for instance, versions with different expressions, different color forms, different backgrounds, etc).

Completion Time: I work on up to a few commissions at a time, roughly in the order for which they were paid. I always provide estimations of the time a commission will take, and if I am going to take longer than expected, I will let you know. Completion time varies based on the type of commission and the number of characters in the commission. Most commissions are finished within a month, but larger commissions or commissions with multiple characters may take longer. If you need your commission done by a deadline, please let me know this before sending payment so that I may determine if I can meet the deadline and if there will be a rush fee.

Shipping: Original sketches/linework can be shipped to you for an additional charge. The shipping cost includes the postage cost, the price of the envelope, and a tracking number for orders within the US. Insurance is not included, but if you want to purchase it, let me know. If the item gets lost or damaged in the mail, I cannot reimburse you for the commission. Please let me know if you would like your commission shipped to you, and I will give you a cost estimate based on current postage costs.

Rights to the Image: I retain the full copyright to the image, and by default generally post commissions to my various platforms. However, if you want me to keep your commission private/offline, I will honor that (as long as you do not post it publicly on your own account; if you post it, I may also post it). I will never sell prints or merchandise of your commission without your knowledge and permission. By default, your commission is for your personal use - you may post your commissioned artwork in your gallery with credit to me, use it as an avatar, etc, but you may not sell prints/merchandise of the image or any derivatives thereof, you may not use it for NFTs or any other blockchain/cryptocurrency related technology, and you may not use it for commercial purposes (for instance, as a logo, a website layout, a book cover, etc). In order to sell prints/merchandise of the image or use it for commercial purposes, you will need to purchase the rights from me; if you wish to do so, please let me know what you wish to use the artwork for and we can negotiate a price. I will not sell or otherwise grant the rights to use any of my artwork for NFTs or other blockchain/cryptocurrency related technology.

Refunds: If you wish to terminate a commission at any time, or if I need to cancel a commission due to a commissioner's behavior, I will refund you only for work that I have not yet done. For instance, if you ordered a colored headshot drawing ($65), and then decided after I was done with the linework that you no longer wanted the commission, I would refund you the price of the coloring ($25), since I had already done the linework, which is listed in my commission prices as $40. If you purchase something tangible from me (a keychain, badge, etc) which breaks while in your possession, I cannot provide a replacement or refund, though I may be able to offer suggestions on how to fix it.

Disclaimer Regarding Shrinky Dink Crafts: I try to make my Shrinky Dink crafts as durable as possible, but I know some have broken after about a year of constant use. If a craft you commission breaks while in your possession, I will not be able to replace or refund it, but I may be able to offer suggestions on how to fix it.

I wasn't sure if your commissions were still open or not but I was defiantly interested in a commission of a full body necklace ^^
I can't have a paypal, but I do have the money if you'd feel alright with snail mail?
